Good morning everyone!
I had a few extra minutes this morning so I thought I’d say hi!
Things have been fairly busy around here, even with all the Covid-19 stuff. I helped as an assistant director for a summer theatre camp and I’m going to do it again later this month! So excited! I love being able to see younger kids grow in their theatrical talent.
It’s been hot here. Like hotter than normal I think. We’ve been enjoying our swimming pool in the evenings.
We haven’t been going too many places recently. Church, the occasional run to the store, and horseback riding lessons.
I found some new books to read during our family’s staycation this week so I’m excited! It’s been really hard to find good books recently.
Ancestry.com finally had another sale on their DNA kits so I ordered one! It came several days ago but I just haven’t had a chance to do it. I can’t wait to see what the percentages of ethnic groups I belong to are. I have to wait six to eight weeks before Ancestry.com gives me the results. I really want to do a post about it when I find out!
Have three little baby chicks I’ve been taking care of in our basement. One of them has a neck problem and I’m not sure it’s going to live but I’ve still been feeding it with a little dropper and some chicken mash I made. The other chicks are getting naughty. They keep flipping their food container over and spilling their water everywhere…baby chicks.
We’re having company tonight, so I’m going to make a big meal. Lasanga, garlic bread, and I’m going to try my hand at chocolate mousse. We’ll see how it goes. I love cooking and I love making the table fancy for guests. There aren’t a lot of flowers outside, so I usually find pretty greenery to use.
Running plot ideas through my head for Set Sail Pt. 2. Not sure if I should go back a couple weeks in the story to show more of Will’s family life, or just go from where I left off.
About to head out to riding lessons so I’ll say goodbye!
I hope everyone is having an awesome summer despite all the craziness going on in our world.
